When the summer heat waves roll across Europe, event organizers and venue managers face a massive challenge. You have to keep cold drinks flowing fast enough when crowds hit their peak, but traditional beverage setups often fail in soaring temperatures. High heat creates volatile gas pressure in beer lines, which leads to excessive foaming, major product waste, and painfully slow pour times. The result is always the same: frustrated fans standing in long lines instead of enjoying the event.

This past weekend, the EBar fleet put on a masterclass in high-volume event execution. We proved that you do not have to let summer weather slow down your service.

Over four straight days of action, our rapid-pour units successfully dispensed 31,000 pints across three different countries. Our automated Mobile EBars and Beerwalls completely tamed the peak rushes under some of the most demanding operational conditions of the year. Despite the extreme temperatures, record sales were achieved in June, pushing EBar ever closer to the 2 million pints poured mark.

From Cricket Pitches to Concert Crowds: Self-Serve Bars at Scale

To hit those numbers, we deployed our self-service units across a massive variety of high-footfall international environments. Each venue presented its own unique service dynamics:

  • Cricket Matches and Racecourses: Thousands of fans flood the concourses all at once during tight intervals and between races. Speed is an absolute necessity here to prevent lost revenue.
  • Concerts and Festivals: High-energy crowds create continuous demand where bars need to operate seamlessly for hours on end without any technical hiccups.
  • Sun-Drenched Beer Gardens: Open-air spaces directly face the peak afternoon heat, which requires maximum cooling efficiency and zero-waste pouring.

Despite the variation in the crowds and the environments, the operational result remained exactly the same across the board.

The Tech That Keeps Its Cool

How did the fleet handle the pressure? It all comes down to the engineering.

We purpose-built EBar’s patented pressure-pour technology to handle the high-temperature spikes that cause traditional beer taps to fail. By automating the entire pouring process and perfectly regulating flow and pressure, the units deliver consistent, perfect heads with near-zero waste.

Instead of staff fighting foam at the taps, our automated drinks kiosks allowed venues to maintain peak throughput from the first whistle to the final encore.

Powered By a World Class Operations Team

While our self-serve units handle the pouring, none of this record-breaking success happens without an exceptional team behind the scenes.

Executing a flawless multi-country rollout across racecourses, stadiums, and concert grounds requires immense logistical precision. We want to give a massive shoutout to our brilliant operations crew. They worked tirelessly in the blistering summer heat to deliver, set up, and support our partners across every single venue.
